my approach
My style of therapy is warm, compassionate, and relational. I am sex positive and LGBQTIA+ affirming. I am holistic and intersectional in my approach, so I strive to be trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and culturally attuned. Clients have described me as organized, funny, and direct. I show up as a human in the room with kindness, curiosity, and compassion — whether shared laughter or tearing up, I will hold space for you through all of it.
Every other week 90-minutes appointments
My style of therapy is depth-oriented, so I see clients every other week for 90-minutes as opposed to weekly 50-minute appointments. The benefits include:
Our work can go deeper, faster — with more breaks between sessions for rest and digesting learnings
Accommodating busy schedules, which allows people to show up present and engaged in session
Therapy every other week is more affordable and cost effective than weekly sessions
Who do I work with?
Two of my biggest strengths as a therapist are my training as a relational therapist and a sex therapist.
My relational therapist training comes from my license type, which is Marriage & Family Therapist (as opposed to Social Work or Individual Counselor). I am trained specifically to work within the context of relationships.
My sex therapist training means that I have 160 hours in training and supervision to specialize in any and all topics relating to sex and sexuality.

about audrey hart
My middle name is Hart, so it is no coincidence that I have spent my life being drawn to heartfelt conversations with people.
I am from the PNW and grew up playing soccer and being outside. I moved across the country to go to college in Maine where I studied geology, but my real passion was teaching sexuality education on my college campus.
I am drawn to sexuality because it is largely a taboo topic in society and I want to be part of the wave de-stigmatizing sexuality because it is an essential aspect of the human experience.
My professional work has included lots of wilderness therapy guiding, outdoor education, and outdoor trip leading—read more about my wilderness/outdoor experiences here!
I am a white, cis-woman who is in a heterosexual relationship. Identity is a big part of the work I do with clients, so if you’d like any referrals for therapists with different identities, then please let me know and I will try my best to pass along referrals.
I live with my husband in Seattle along with our dog. I love backpacking year-round, listening to storytelling podcasts, reading a variety of books, and jumping in the ocean.

LOCATION
My office is located in Madrona neighborhood on 34th Avenue. I’m right across the street from a few bus stops and there is plenty of free 2-hour parking along 34th Avenue. There are 3-flights of stairs or an elevator to reach my office.
Meet kevin
Kevin is my twenty-pound therapy dog! He loves cuddling with clients in-session or he can always sit over on my chair. When Kevin isn’t at the office, he enjoys playing fetch and swimming! I believe animals can provide a lot of comfort in sessions.
Good Faith estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Clients who do not have insurance or are choosing to not use insurance will receive an estimate of psychotherapy services. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
I do not take insurance OR provide superbills.
